Women lost the legal right to refuse an abortion with the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. When something is not available, it cannot be refused. If we don’t have any bananas, you can’t refuse to buy a pound.
The government or populace does not have exposure to harm in an individual’s healthcare decisions unless it affects their economic or physical health. One woman’s abortion does not change the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) or influence the spread of infectious diseases, for example.
Life begins with spontaneous breathing. Medical intervention may be done to induce spontaneous breathing. Remember the “breath of life.”
