Using Daylight Saving Time in the Winter will not make more daylight. We have only 9 1/2 hours to work with. If you want more daylight at the end of your day, you can use Standard Time and cut the workday by one hour. That is, reduce the workday from 9-5 to 9-4.

 The 4-day week gives even more daylight in off-time, but your boss might feel better if you keep the traditional 5-day week and go to 7-hour days. It’s up to you. Talk to your boss. A committee of workers might make a more powerful suggestion.
