When you look at the purpose and value of your voting, would a paid holiday help you? Could there be other advantages to a National Voting Holiday on June Nineteenth? Here is a beginning list:
- You will not have to choose between your work or your vote.
- The lines at the poll for before-work and after-work voting will be eliminated.
- More people will be able to record their preferences.
- The electioneering period following the primary vote and the Fall Election will be limited to a lengthy 4-1/2 months.
- The final electioneering season will be Summer.
- Every State will be on the same calendar for planning and performing elections.
