My 5-year old grandson stacked up blocks the other day to build a jail and a jail cell. I suggested it be a hospital to which he said the cell became a hospital room. See, he will accept positive ideas if presented. The police car became an ambulance.
Instead of our hero saving a town from a bombing by a bad guy, can we have a group save a town from a virus? Why is the hero always solo? Community and teamwork ought to be the norm.
Is there someone who can write these children’s stories?
In data management and everywhere, there are 1-to-many, 1-to-1, and many-to-1 relationships. One hero can save a town; one person can help one person; and a kid’s club can save one bully victim.
The winning kick is not done by the only player on the field. The first goal the team made is just as valuable as the last one. It would not have been the winning kick if their goalie had not defended the goal the whole game.
And think about the kind of leader you want in your government — a self-interested individual or a team with a common interest in people’s well being.
