1. PUBLIC MEETINGS THAT AMPLIFY A PROBLEM and attribute blame can build up resentment toward all political leadership. If you get the people too angry in this time of stress and unemployment, they may resort to physical assaults to assuage their anger. “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”

2. OUR GOVERNMENT CAN PAY FOR THE LABOR to work on our infrastructure. Nobody needs allegedly “free stuff.” ( It’s not free because we have to pay back the creditor who financed it.) “Free grants” are not good for bankers who don’t do anything to earn them.
WE NEED EMPLOYMENT. We the people need to earn income to pay obligations to the banks. Some of it is repaid via small businesses who sell to us and then repay their loans. That would be a true bailout for the system. Free money to the banks and legislation-created organizations, such as corporations, will not return a major benefit to anyone. (See also 4. below.)

3. CEOs AND STOCKHOLDERS ARE PEOPLE. Everything our government does to help people will help them. Paying CEOs and stockholders to keep their organizations going will not serve them as well as paying workers to produce. Workers are eager to help and we (me and my government) need to respect the CEOs’ aspiration to manage viable industries, not to compensate anyone for shuffling paper. Industry and finance are supported by the results of labor.

4. (Ed: added July 2020) THE $600 ADDED TO WEEKLY UNEMPLOYMENT compensation could be used to get our roads repaired and internet service to millions. Continue their unemployment compensation and pay them a wage of $15 an hour for the $600. It would buy a week’s work from an unemployed person, and it would satisfy both the worker’s need for cash and the community’s need for updating infrastructure.
