The Grand Thesis: Affirmative actions yield affirmative results.
Please consider the trauma, difficulty, and poor outcomes from protestations against a governmental policy. The clear expression of a desirable result will bring us closer to a desirable result than the degradation of an opposition.
The governance that is coming from the Trump administration is a good illustration of a policy that is headed for failure when the people keep believing in themselves. The Trumpists have a negative view of our pacifist temperament and positive growth history, so their actions have been legally hostile and promoting violence. They are making little progress toward their “deconstruction of the administrative state” besides introducing transient confusion. The strength of the people and their personal values will prevail. The Trump administration has not presented us a clear and unified image of how we want our country to behave, toward itself or toward the world. So it will not be permitted to succeed.
People of all political persuasions will unite in pursuit of positive outcomes – social order, public education, access to jobs and health care, taxation that collects more from corporations that have more, international trade that protects jobs and markets and consumers, and so on.
Those of us who seek peace and prosperity do not oppose the Southern Wall, screening of terrorist immigrants, or identifying social minorities. We object to the consequences of policies that do not protect Americans and all people. Consider the following headlines.

The travel ban limits the immigration but Christians – a minority religion — are targeted for favorable treatment. The special treatment displays a selective religious preference by the United States in contradiction to the text of the Constitution. Citizens must choose to favor no religions. We have a tradition that comes from and is recorded in our US Constitution. Citizens of the United States do not support preferential treatment for any single religion by our government.
