“After DOGE seized control of the USIP [U.S. Institute of Peace] building and Trump removed 11 of USIP’s 15 board members, the White House put out a statement … “The Trump administration will enforce the President’s executive authority …”” (Lisa Needham, Daily Kos, 3/25/25)
If Trump has no authority to remove board members, why did they leave their posts? Was it by physical threat of death or by armed persons (same thing)?
Why did a Congressionally established organization obey an executive agency that has no Congressional authority (DOGE)?
A person complying with an illegal order is guilty of breaking the law.
If someone is told to break the law and they do it, both of them are guilty.
