My Dear Business Journalist:
Your newsletter “5 Things” published online on 2022-02-28 included a link about bread making that was disgusting. The narrator had the timidity to read for his employer a junk script. He referred to a mix of grains that had “to become friends like Fred or die as a burned pile.”
He also referred to viewer’s feelings and other objects as “fucking.” This is terrible.
This is not journalism. This is sensationalism and disrespectful of human dignity. I and my friends will not associate with sources of such material. Journalism has the awesome potential to convey information without class references and obscenities. Negative words shut down the listener – opposing the goal of a journalist.
If I get this kind of language one more time, even off-site by your link which is an implied endorsement, I will cancel my (free) subscription.
